    @Rafal-Lukawiecki: yes, that’s the correct tab. Not sure why the sample files are missing. Should be 4 of them if I recall correctly. Use the Edit File function under the DIAGNOSTICS menu in pfSense and browse to /var/db/snort and see if they show up there.

    @johnpoz The decoded base 64 isn't something I recognise. It's simply "teamspeak5:" and then a random string of numbers/letters/symbols.

    @johnpoz True. The registrar always has a set of "DNS servers" entries (at least 2), by default being their own. You can use other ones, like the mentioned cloud-flare. And from then on, DNS-API will work just fine, and issue solved.

    @jimp I'm definitely eager to test that package update, but after the latest system update to 25.11.1 from 25.11, (which I did in the hope it would the OPFv3 issue) my long-working IPsec VTI setup quit passing usable traffic. This obviously not the right topic for that subject. I will post it where it belongs once I get time to collect more useful diagnostic information than I have now. ETA: VTI IPsec VPN seems to be working normally again! IPv4 OSPF is working, and I can now rebuild my IPv6 routes on OPFv3. I am pretty stoked! Thanks to everyone involved in getting that package update published.

    @johnpoz Yes, I’m running 1.94.1 simply because it’s the current package, but nothing in the OAuth workflow depends on that version. As long as the GUI Pre‑Auth Key is set to: file:/dev/null and pfSense starts Tailscale with the OAuth token, it works the same across both versions.

    @krasykp glad to hear it, just noticed I had posted in general questions, I should prob move my thread to the packages section. But I wasn't sure where the problem was when I ran into it. Since its linked to here, I will just leave it. What might be helpful for the next user to run into this, if you could post up how you applied the patch.. I tried that first.. But prob some stupid thing I was doing and it wouldn't list apply, prob was running on single cup of coffee when I ran into - and just said shoot easier to just manually edit ;)

    Thanks, that does resolve the issue. I've filed a bug report so the official package can get updated.

    @elamigosam2 If you are going to use active zabbix components on your pfSense, then this is a VERY good reason to stay/use the LTS version of Zabbix rather than the minor builds. This way you don't get into as much trouble with especially the proxy version problem. The agent can be one or more versions old without issues in Zabbix, but not the proxy.

    @pylessard great to hear, now don't wait 8 years to update again ;) 26.03 will be the next update. Here in the next few months.. Knock on wood actually in March ;) heheh That is if 3100 is still supported.. At some point it will drop off support - since it is arm based and all. Curious how your wan gateway was wrong in your current backup?

    I know this is old...but I am experiencing the same issue. It appears to be related to EAP (in my case PEAP). The CHECK-ITEM fails with certain characters after the Cleartext-Password. This does not happen when PEAP is not used.

    @pfsjap Yes, andwatch is incompatible with ram disk, as is any package that requires long term storage. Core team is aware of the issue and is considering ways to allow packages to hook into the backup/restore process.

    @terryzb said in Problem enabling mDNS Bridge after removing Avahi: @dennypage Ran into a slight problem that I was able to solve but thought I'd report here in case others run into it. While upgrading a 2100 from 25.0.7 to 25.11, I followed best practices and first removed packages (pfBlockerNG, Avahi and a couple more). After the upgrade I installed mDNS Bridge to test the replacement for Avahi. After trying to enable it I got: "Avahi reflection must be disabled before enabling mDNS Bridge" I rebooted the 2100 but same problem. I then reinstalled the Avahi package and disabled it. Then mDNS Bridge could be enabled. I finished by removing the Avahi package again. A couple simple tests and mDNS Bridge seems to be working well mirroring an iPhone to an AppleTV. Thank you very much @dennypage for this package. Thank you for the report. Much appreciated.

    @luckman212 said in Filer pkg bugs: @dennypage Hmm - interesting overload usage there! Definitely never would have thought of that. Does it work for creating new files too? Yes, it works for creating files. In fact, that’s why you have to mark them as non auto apply—if you don’t, it keeps prepending another copy of the text each time an apply happens. I am also looking for GUI RADSEC support. I do believe that the current version of FreeRadius in 2.8.1 does support it (usr/local/etc/raddb/sites-available/tls) but there is not GUI support. I attempted to spin it up, but the server crashed when a connection was made on 2083/tcp. Looks like there is a possible roadmap. issue 16025 radsec

    So the problem definitely lies in Hardware TCP Segmentation Offloading as I was able to disable Hardware Large Receive Offloading without the issue occurring.

    @dennypage brillant! I was having the same problem with LLDP not starting (25.07.1), the 2nd option worked for me. Thanks! :-)
