@sef1414 Name it "run.sh", copy to pf and chmod according documentation https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/development/boot-commands.html#shell-script-option You will see messages in the system log like those quoted in the script after logger command.

There's a bug for the firewall log widget being slow: https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/12673 It's fixed in 24.03. The patch likely applies to 2.7.2.

@johnpoz @stephenw10 It started about 2 months ago. My browser still said to me : this site has IPv6 avaible, I have IPv6 avaible, so let's do it. And then nothing ... so some fallback mechanism to IPv4 was kicking in after "500 milli sec delay" or so. It wasn't really disturbing.

Check for ISP issues on WAN1 by testing with an alternative DNS server or contact the ISP to resolve potential routing issues, and ensure your pfSense and network settings are correctly configured.

@Dobby_ That website no longer gives out a free version after so many days they disable it and expect you to pay now.

@Dobby_ said in Getting Ready for the Roads: if the pfSense is powered by that "unit". To prevent hold / start cycles. Thank you Dobby for that insight...

I used it for a while with a 500/200 fiber connection, but my floating rule was only for the following ports: 27000 to 27050 UDP. These ports are for Counter Strike, and I can say that I became a killing machine in that game. I don't know how many times people said that I was cheating... But latency didn't improve in the game, so I'm not sure if it was some kind of placebo effect or if it was really working.

@johnpoz No it is only when I use the M1 the files get all messed up. It the files are locked with read only permissions it doesn't occur. I have no clue what is causing that for the M1 it's random and just weird. I complained to Apple discussion they said a lot of possibilities but no definite answer. It was some saying its Kaspersky, some saying its the older AP, some saying it is the VPN. I isolated it to the M1 so I know that it originates from it.

Re: IP not recognized in system logs Thanks for removing the image! Yes, I do see the request for the ack and I now see that this is the ISP dhcp renewing lease. I understand a bit more this time, where as before I had no clue. Thanks so much for giving me a few tips.
