Boot fails when a USB UPS is connected (Netgate 6100-S)
-
Boot is failing when there is a USB UPS connected in one of the USB ports.
-
@ecotel Okay, I have not seen that. Which UPS make/model are we talking about? I have tried numerous Eaton and APC's in 6100's and never seen that happen
-
@keyser Its a cyberpower EC850LCD, we are at version 24.11 if that helps.

@ecotel Hmm, well it's likely because it has issues assigning the USB devices during the UEFI Lens inventory. Have you tried connecting to console and follow the boot process to identify where it fails?
Have you tried waiting really long - like 20 minutes?
The reason I ask is I have had a couple of times where the UEFI Lens process took like 10 minutes to complete after adding a new SSD to my 6100's, and it's like it remembers/stores the result so it does not happen again at the next boot.
