Folks - I am trying to set up dual wan failover - I have two internet connections and I have read http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Multi-WAN_2.0. When I take one connection down, the other one only works when I make it the default gateway, even though I have set the default rule on the LAN to use the gateway group I set up for both the internet connections. What am I missing?

      Thanks!

you probably forgot to change your firewall rules on the LAN tab.

by default you have a rule that allows all traffic from LAN-subnet –> any using default gateway.
you need to modify this rule to allow  all traffic from LAN-subnet --> any using your_failover_gateway_group
this setting can be found somewhere at the bottom on the page when you edit a firewall rule

If this is not the case, please provide more info (like screenshots of your firewall rules and gateway groups)

        kind regards

I did make sure that the LAN gateway is the group I set up. I am going to start a new thread because I think my problem is not a problem with pfsense and dual wan.
