Really Simple Problem

I am new to pfSense, and am struggling with the most basic of things, I'm embarrased.
I have a virgin 2.2.1 system and want to send mail to my mail server (IMAP) on 192.168.1.10.
I have set up a firewall rule on the WAN tab to send IMAP traffic from any source to Lan net
I have set up a firewall rule on the LAN tabl to send IMAP traffic from any source to 192.168.1.10
Nothing is getting to my server.
What am I missing?
Thanks
Mark.

NAT?

HI Thanks.
Yes, I spotted this shortly after - I hadn't realised that NAT meant Port Forwarding! (I guess it shows how new I am to pfSense and proper firewalls.
I have now set up a NAT rule which is:
Port Forward TCP, Src Addr - * , Src Ports - * , Dest Addr - Lan net , Dest Ports - IMAP 143, Nat IP 192.168.1.10, Port - 143
It still isnt working.
Thanks for any help.

" send mail to my mail server (IMAP)"
Who exactly is sending mail to this server via imap?
IMAP is not a sending protocol.. You don't "send" mail with imap, you get your mail and retrieve your mail with imap - but you don't send mail with it..
