PfSense Randomly Adds IPs from Aliases Not Being Routed to the Routes List
-
I have no idea why it's doing this.
I have a set of about 8 aliases specified in 8 different routing lines in my "Routing" -> "Routes" tab. Seemingly randomly IPs from lists which are not specified on any route in the "Routes" tab are added to my routing table and I have to attempt to manually find them and delete them, because, since they are in my routes table, but the NAT isn't configured to handle them, I get SYN_SENT:CLOSED on every request to those IPs.
So two questions:
1. Why is this happening?
2. Is there a way to reset the routing table to the default values and then automatically reapply the routes specified in "Routing" -> "Routes" (almost as if the box had been reset) without actually resetting the box or manually trying to pick through a few hundred routes trying to find the ones that are incorrect.Any information you can give me would be much appreciated. Thank you. :)

Hi @abujammy,
Did you set your PCs with static maps? If not, then maybe the PCs have different IPs everytime you turn them on. You can also check DHCP leases and confirm their MAC Address to compare them if they are using different IPs from time to time.
Hope this helps. :)
