Pfsense/Netgate SG-4860 WAN fails to connect (PPPoE/Vlan6)
-
I have a Dell T110 towerserver as a router, with 6 Nics.
WAN is working 100% (ISP: NL/Dutch XS4all).- Fibre/NTU -> Dell T110 (PPPoE via Vlan 6)
- Pfsense version 2.3.2 amd64
- WAN: No IPTV nor IPv6… need just IPv4
I would like to replace this router with my Netgate SG-4860 (Pfsense-version).
With exact the same settings it fails to get connected to WAN whatever I do…
I have tried numerous variants, incl many reboots of both router AND Fibre/NTU-modem.- Cutted and pasted parts of working config
- Started couple of times from scratch
- To be sure, I've followed these kind of step-by-step tutorials in detail:
http://blog.firewallonline.nl/how-to-en-tutorials/xs4all-glasvezel-internet-iptv-op-pfsense-opnsense
The Netgate SG-4860 has been working untill now in a local network environment, without problems.
(So I assume NIC's work fine, for Gigabit network)PfSense version:

I also tried to add default route with, because this seems to be missing in "Routes". Might be due that there "is no route" yet, because PPPoE is not yet connected…?!?
route add -net 0.0.0.0/0 -interface pppoe0As described in:
https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/6495 -
Hi,
Did you get this resolved? Having a similar problem myself.

I also have a similar problem (Vlan 40 Mnet) .
