[SOLVED] PFSENSE DHCP
-
Greetings, someone might lean have a problem with the dhcp when I go into the options I see tells me that the pool of addresses is from 192.168.1.1-192.168.253, now I use MAC addresses assigned Address, for which I have put the range is from 192,168,253 to 192,168,253 with allowing me to assign MAC address but that 192,168,253 is automatically assigned to any new equipment, how can I do to prevent this from happening? from now thanks.

what?
You can not set a reservation inside your pool. What do you want your machines IP address to be 192.168.1.? Then adjust our pool to not include that address?
So you need such a large pool? How many devices do you actually have that would be on your network?
For example if you used a pool of 192.168.1.100-150 then you could use static IP be set on the devices itself or via dhcp reservation for IP .1-99 or .151-254
If your device had already gotten an IP and now you want to use your reservation, make sure you delete the OLD lease from the dhcp server.

Available range 192.168.10.1 - 192.168.10.126
Range
192.168.15.126 (from) - 192.168.15.126(To)Huh?? If your network is 192.168.10/25, how is your dhcp range is 192.168.15 ?
Taking your understanding of numbers is as bad as your english? heeheh ROFL..
If your client got a lease, and you then create a reservation you need to release that lease that the client or remove the lease from the dhcp before the client will be able to get the reservation.

i have configured my dhcp server with this
Subnet 192.168.10.0
Subnet mask 255.255.255.128
Available range 192.168.10.1 - 192.168.10.126Range
192.168.15.126 (from) - 192.168.15.126(To)The range needs to be within the subnet you have assigned, 192.168.10.100 - 192.168**.10.120**
Try this:
Subnet 192.168.10.0
Subnet mask 255.255.255.128
Available range 192.168.10.1 - 192.168.10.126
Range From 192.168.10.100 - To 192.168**.10.120**
That will give you 21 automatically assignable DHCP addresses.
Mine looks like this:
Subnet 172.16.0.0
Subnet mask 255.255.252.0
Available range 172.16.0.1 - 172.16.3.254
Range From 172.16.3.100 - To 172.16.3.200

You can keep pfSense from assigning an address to an unknown machine by ticking the box on this line:
Deny unknown clients Only the clients defined below will get DHCP leases from this server.
