I'm running pfsense 2.3.2-RELEASE (amd64) for about a month. All of a sudden a couple hours ago I'm unable to access any http sites.

Sample error message is "This site can’t be reached google.com refused to connect. Search Google for google ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED"

If I use a VPN I'm able to access http sites.

I have no knowledge at all about this stuff and did a lot of research to set it up initially. All I know it was working and it suddenly stopped in the middle of the day. Ive restart the pfsense machine several times as well as stopped every service to see if one of them was the problem. That's as far as my troubleshooting skills go with this.

      Any help is appreciated.

Disable Snort and then try again.
