-
Hey,
I bought an Intel Pro/1000 quad port Nic from ebay (http://www.ebay.de/itm/Intel-Pro-1000-PT-Server-Adapter-Quad-Port-Gigabit-NIC-PCIe-x4-EXPI9404PTBLK-/142016580898?hash=item2110d90d22:g:IOYAAOSwGotWik8F)I placed it in my PCIe slot and tryed to install pfSense, everything fine but when im at the step to set up the wan connecten, it tells me: NO interfaces found (deaktivated the onboard Lan)
The Nic lights arent lighting up just when i start the pc, then they blink short green. My Mainboard is the Asus B150-A with an Celeron 3600.
I hope somone can help me there :'( i don't know what to do..

Unfortunately you may have a bad NIC. You can try reinstalling and see if it works. Maybe try re-assigning interfaces via the shell?
https://stuff.mit.edu/afs/athena/dept/cron/documentation/Manuals/dell-server-admin/en/IntelNIC/trouble.htm#check_ledsI'd request a refund from the seller and purchase something different.
Try this, about the same price as yours and a better NIC with lower power usage.

I dont think its a problem with pfsense. I think its cause my Board or soemthing like that.

I wasn't suggesting that pfSense was at fault. PRO/1000 PT is absolutely compatible, I'm using one now. I was saying that it might be a hardware problem.

I tryed The nic in my desktop pc, on a msi z87-g43. There it works ::) So i Will Go and Buy an other mainboard

Ah, too bad!
While you're in the market check out the Apollo Lake lineup.
They are similar to your current board and CPU but will be an upgrade in every way for cheap.
J3355B is probably best for you ~€73, J3455B gets you 4 cores but lower clocks for ~€12 more.
