In case anyone else gets this issue:

I upgraded from 2.3.3-p1 last night and everything seemed to go well. I had a power outage this morning that killed the SG and my ISP device. From that point I could not get a DHCP IP address from the ISP device. Swapping the 2.3.4 machine with an identical SG-2440 running 2.3.3-p1 shows that that works fine.

The only errors shown in the GUI was that the gateway pinger was red (because it didn't have an IP assigned).

Is there anything I can do to see why this device would not get assigned an IP as a result of a version update?

      Thank you…

You might try a release renew (even though it doesn't have a lease).  Longshot I'm sure.

I ended up just re-installing 2.3.3-p1 on it and will test more tonight. Thank you for the suggestion.
