      Hello!
I'm currently running pfSense on an Intel Core Duo E6550 clocked at 2.33GHz with 2GB of DDR2 RAM.
On my PC I have an AMD A8-7600 and 16GB of DDR3.
I plan to upgrade to an AMD Ryzen so I won't need the A8 anymore.
I was thinking of upgrading the router to the A8 but wondered if switching would cause any PCI-E problems or any other issues.
Would it be easier to reinstall pfSense and backup the settings, or should I just switch?

I would do a clean install and re-apply the config. The only barf you are likely to see is maybe pfSense will complain about the NIC's and you'll need to re-set that bit.
