After being dazed and confused and lost after days of trying many ideas from all over… I have no choice but to bother the learned... for starters I have Frontier Internet service and am trying to hookup the church servers I am donating, access gateway, packeteer and Citrix load balancer using pf Sense to balance it all from a setup I saw on u tube. My networking  is long since rusty considering my age and not keeping current in electronics. enough said won't go there... here are my numbers from the router modem and pf Sense webConfigurator both... WAN & LAN lights on the gateway are red and yellow while running, green and yellow like it should be when its not... from what Ive read this modem sucks being DSL phone type Frontier won't bridge it for me either... NO WAN or LAN Internet in or out Ethernet wise but have WIFI which my servers cant use being dinosaurs...Our church needs these servers and web site running ASAP any help would be appreciated...

Arris Main page WAN 50.111.119.143          Frontier Side : Private LAN 192.168.254.254 (also router-modem access page)
WAN MASK        255.255.224.0              SUBNET MASK          255.255.255.0
                Gateway            50.111.96.1                  Starts                          192.168.254.10
                DNS Primary      74.40.74.40 & 41        Ends                            192.168.254.210
                                                                                      DHCP  set at Dynamic

      pfSense 2.3.4 setup    em0 =  v4/DHCP4: 192.168.254.29/24  assigned IP address by webConfigurator
em1 =    v4: 10.0.0.1/24  IPV6 not loaded cutoff in the modem by Frontier
Also unable to view NAT and had a problem loading CD due to the iso DVD writer 9660 speed needed to reset to "10000" to finish install was only problem... fix provided by past reads per pfSense reviews

This has to be solved first :
        @revmayeaux:

        ….
Also unable to view NAT .....

If you didn't build any rules the list will be empty.

Btw : not using Dino-material will remove a lot of doubts. Right now, are you sure pfSense is installed correctly ?

Your pfSense LAN-IP ( 10.0.0.1/24)  in relation to 192.168.254.29 (IP WAN pfSEnse, assigned staticky with configuration) seems ok to me.
Be sure that on Interface => WAN => Reserved Networks => Block private networks and loopback addresses is NOT checked.

Check this : when you hookup a PC directly to your modem/router/DSL device, an Internet connection works, right ,

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly… The Frontier tech said he could not bridge the modem that I have it being DSL and Arris type...I was finally able to get on the pfS setup access areas to start configuration and checked the loop back and network intrusions but never made it past any other screens to configure anything else, will do today. Their router-modem did let me create rules and port forwarding but it did not help with the normal operation and pass through of signal through my access gateway, still red and yellow lights so I know it is being throttled somewhere..( I will try and reinstall pfS to see if maybe something was missed, although all packages installed correctly and it worked with my Charter cable modem-router I bought at Walmart)... NAT could not be changed on my end EVEN BY THE TECH GUY HERE NOW...they say Geek Squad OR THE HIGH PRICE BUSINESS TECHS would have to go into the hidden pages and reset NAT etc... I was hoping a work around was known I could do in Arris setup access area page(s) I'm allowed in, would another over the counter or brand DSL router-modem allow me to change NAT etc...  Thanks for your time and efforts too!
