      Hi Everyone,
Looking for some verification if this will work and hardware recommendations. I am looking to use a ZTE Warp Hotspot (model MF920VS) with Sprint service as my WAN with a PFSENSE box and have a couple questions.

      1. Can the ZTE hotspot just be connected via USB to the PFSENSE and it will detect it?
      2. If the USB connection method is an option what hardware appliance should I look at to run PFSENSE for about 15 computer network environment with using some proxy addons?
      3. If the USB option is not possible then again what hardware would be recommended that would allow the PFSENSE to connect via WIFI to the hotspot and share the connection as a WAN to 15 other computers on the network?

      Thank you!

        1. Maybe. It depends what sort of USB device it presents itself as. It may just work with the cdce driver. It may appear as an rndis device which would need the kernel module importing from FreeBSD to function.

        2. That would depend entirely on the data-rate you have a available.

        3. Hard to recommend either USB or wifi attachment methods though both can work. A much better option is something that terminates the LTE connection as Ethernet such as this:

        (Just as an example)

I can't speak to the 920 but the ZTE 917 Falcon (T-Mobile) can be plugged in via USB and it "just works" showing up as a USB (ue) interface.
