Unable to import ovpn
-
I have exported my client config using the Client Export package, as an "OpenVPN Connect (iOS/Android)" file.
Then I emailed the file to myself. When I try to open it, I get "An error has occurred while reading the OPML document:Unexpected token (position:TEXT persist-tun pers…@16:1 in java.io.InputStreamReader@2dd056a)"I'm running 2.3.5-RELEASE (amd64) and version 1.1.22 of the client on my Moto 4.
Has anyone else seen this?

Executables often do not email well.
Try sending file directly to device using a cable.

The OpenVPN connect app is quirky, did you export the version that's actually for OpenVPN connect?
This OpenVPN app is much, much better: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.blinkt.openvpn

Thanks for the help. I figured out what was happening. I had another application (AntennaPod) on my phone that was registered to open .ovpn files. That was the application that was generating the error messages. I had to download the file, then import it from within OpenVPN Connect, instead of opening the file from my email.
