      Everyone,

I am running Pfsense 2.4.2. I have a 3CX hosted PBX that I am trying to use. The trouble I am having is that, while external calling works both inbound and outbound, internal calls go through, but there is no audio on either end. As this is a hosted PBX, I know that the RTP traffic is having to hit the firewall. I just don't know what Pfsense is doing with it when there are two internal SIP devices trying to talk to "each other." I have disabled source port rewriting for outbound UDP traffic, but that did not work. Any ideas?

What guidance does 3CX give regarding what NAT is required in your situation?

In this case, we've simply implemented a 3CX Session Border Controller to get around these issues. I was only hoping to not have to do that as I know that this is not a problem with some other routers.

It is not a problem with pfSense either but you need to know what NAT has to happen.

It usually involves some combination static ports on outbound NAT and port forwarding inbound.
