      Hello,

I have connected the CP Interface with nanostation loco m2 which runs as access point. I can see the CP page once I am connected to it.

Now if I use an other nanostation loco m2 or a tp-link wa5210g as a repeater I can connect to them and access the internet without stopping at CP page first.

what i am doing wrong ?

      thanks

Set the nano to “transparent bridge mode”

The reason to do so is that in regular mode
The AP will use its own MAC address rather than the callers MAC

          Hello,

I understand. But how I am going to use the captive portal login page when I connect to one of the repeaters?

          thanks

            @newteks:

            I understand.

            You didn't.
As jaspras said, when in "transparent bridge mode”, the AP behaves like a RJ45 cable. This means : it does nothing to the data stream except converting radio signals (also called Wifi) to electric signals, the ones that flow over the copper RJ45 cable.
            The AP becomes totally transparent.

pfSense, it's NIC, the Captive Porta, 'sees' the MAC of the visiting client and it's IP. As it should be.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum.

              Thanks for the advice.

i tried 2 scenarios and they both work.

              SCENARIO 1
Connected nanostation No.1 to CP interface and set wireless mode as AP with WDS checked.
Then the distant nanostation No.2 I set it as station with WDS checked.
I connect a laptop LAN to nanostation No.2 LAN and I get the CP login page and I can connect and access the internet.

              SCENARIO 2
Connected nanostation No.1 to CP interface and set wireless mode as AP/repeater
in WDS Pears I add the mac of the nanostation No.2
I set the frequency to channel 11
On distant nanostation No.2 I set wireless mode as AP/repeater
in WDS Pears I add the mac of the nanostation No.1
I set the frequency to channel 11

Now I can connect wirelessly or with LAN of nanostation No.2 and see the CP login page.

              Thanks again for your help.
