Denial of Service Prevention Mechanisms on PFSense

I come from a traditional networking shop and am used to Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWALL, etc. firewalls. Usually you have a basic command or a couple checkboxes to block things like UDP or Syn floods. What mechanisms does PFSense provide in the way of DoS prevention?
