Hi.

Both Squid Proxy Server and SquidGuard Proxy Filter have logging options.

In particular, SquidGuard has a one day rotation option while Squid Server lets us choose the number of days.

What connects these two options?

What connects these two options?

What do you mean?  Nothing connects them.  Squid and squidguard are two different programs with different logging features.

What differentiates these logs knowing that these two packages are made to block content?

Squid is a caching proxy.  Squidguard is an URL filter that requires squid.  Squid by itself does not block content except for in the most primitive way.
