Adding Physical Nic ~~causes Issues~~
-
I have this motherboard: https://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Atom/X10/A1SRi-2758F.cfm
I am trying to install this adapter: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/network-io/ethernet/gigabit-adapters/server-i350-t4v2.html
Everything works after installation but my WAN moves to the first physical slot of the adapter, like below, and even though I can simply change the cables, when I do I can no longer access the Web GUI. I assume that's because the MAC has changed…
Regardless, can someone please give me some advice to achieve this without starting an install from scratch?
I would like the additional PCIe NIC's to be igb4, igb5, igb6, igb7. Is that possible?
BEFORE: igb0 WAN Native 1 igb1 LAN Native 2 igb2 OPT1 Native 3 igb3 OPT2 Native 4 AFTER: igb0 WAN PCIe 1 igb1 LAN PCIe 2 igb2 OPT1 PCIe 3 igb3 OPT2 PCIe 4 igb4 Native 1 igb5 Native 2 igb6 Native 3 igb7 Native 4

Try to edit the config manually and replace the mac address of the interfaces.

Nope. They are in the order the "BIOS" assigns them.
Either reassign the interfaces to the new names that correspond to the same interface or re-patch to the new interface with the same name.
