SFP+ Cards
-
Hello all,
Looking to purchase compatible SFP+ card for my pfSense system.
What else would be recommended / fully compatible besides: T520-SO-CR ?
( Also, if any1 can provide recommendation where to get in Canada, would be thankful). This would be used with ES-16-XG switch.
Thank you!

Hi, Intel cards work good from what I have tested.
Take a look at eBay. :)

Thank you for replying! Appreciate it.
Right now looking into: Intel Dell X520-DA2 , it appears that this one is fully compatible ? (At least from the re-search right now) , should be plug and play.
I found one on Ebay, Canadian Seller, around $160 CAD.
Many recommend Chelsio, its expensive here, and appears to be running much hotter compared to Intel?
Thank you!

I know you are asking for something other than a Chelsio card, however, I have been running a Chelsio T50-SO-CR 2-Port SFP+ card without issue for approximately a year. It was simply plug and play with my Supermicro X10SDV-8C-TLN4F board.
This card has been working with pfSense v2.4.3 and prior versions without issue.
The left port is connected to a Meraki Switch and the right port is connected to a Cisco Switch. Everything works great.
