Traffic between two networks

Hello Forum,
I am new and this is a very, very basic question. I have two networks configured, 172.16.11.1 and 172.16.12.1. There is a computer on each network and I'd like to be able to map a drive from one to the other. One computer is 172.16.11.3 and the other is 172.16.12.4. I can not Ping either computer from either one. I can ping 172.16.12.1 - from the 172.16.11.3 computer.
I've tried to write rules to allow this communication but haven't been able to get it to work. Can you please suggest something or somewhere I can read about it?

What rules did you create on your non lan network? Lan default is any any so boxes on that network can do anything they want.
But when you create new networks NO rules are created.. So what rules did you create?
Also windows would be running its own firewall out of the box, so you would have to allow that remote network to access your file shares, ping etc..

Hello All,
Thank you very much ! it was the individual computer's Win 10 Firewall that was blocking everything. I turned them off and everything works the way my rules say to.
