Would someone be kind enough to provide me a detailed explanation/steps as how I can have my pfsense box restart after the internet connection drops? If a time interval is need then let’s say restart after 5 minutes of no internet connection. -Thank you very much in advance.

That is not a very good idea.. So your isp has an outage of say couple of hours in the middle of the night and your router reboots itself every 5 minutes?

Long outages are rare. Connection drops usually only last a few minutes.

And why would you need to reboot pfSense after a connection drop? pfSense usually handles these very well.

Exactly... Have never in history of using pfsense had to reboot it to regain access after an outage.. Going back 10 some years of using pfsense.
