Dropped packets in games? Looking for debug advice

So I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out what is causing this specific lag I'm having in games. This is happening on multiple games (Overwatch/Dota 2) that I experience after switching over to pfsense and I'm trying to figure out what is the issue. I am seeing consistent low ping/latency while gaming however occasionally I the game would completely freeze and all characters would stop moving (Except my own) and then everything would resume back. I've tried posting on the overwatch forums for initial troubleshooting and that thread can be found here.
To summarize the thread I can conclude it's not my modem causing the issue because the same modem was used with my previous router (Asus AC68u) with no issues. My current setup is running a virtualized Pfsense on my server with an intel quad nic card (Intel 82575GB Gibabit Ethernet Controller) installed.
With my new setup the modem is still in bridge mode but it connects to my pfsense server (This has 4 NIC Ports, 1 which is WAN and 3 physical nics that are bridged together as 1 LAN (I label these physical ports as OPT1/OPT2/OPT3).
The firewall rules are set at the LAN interface (Bridge).
OPT1 -> Unifi Switch -> Wireless AP and some local devices, and IoT devices on a separate VLAN, Guestnetwork also on a separate VLAN (This is a separate SSID)
OPT2 -> PC
So I don’t think the issue is with my unifi gear because even my PC that is connected to OPT2 is experiencing the lag issue. I have also made sure to change the setting in System > Advanced on the System Tunables tab with interface bridge as guided here
I'm not sure what else I can do to debug this problem. I do have ntopng installed as a package in pfsense but I'm not sure how to use it. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

3 things to test, so you can isolate the problem.
1=> No more VM : go physical (did you read the other "HyperV" thread today / yesterday where the VM was freezing ?)
2=> Bridging physical NIC's : take a no-brain switch
3=> ntopng installed .... you are aware that that one only can bring pfSense to it's knees ....
