<![CDATA[Static assigned IPv6 addresses]]>Having a bit of a glitch getting a new client system to pick up a statically assigned IPv6 address from pfSense. I got it connected and it picked up an address from the dynamic pool. That let me get the DUID of the client and define a static address. Now I want the client to forget the initial address it got and pick up the defined address but I can't get it to let go of that first address.

I even changed the pool to a new range and restarting the client doesn't pickup the static assigned address. The client is an Odroid H2 running CentOS 7.6. pfSense is up to date on 2.4.4-RELEASE-p2.

Is there a way to delete the lease from pfSense? I've tried using the trash can icon in "Status -> DHCPv6 Leases" but it doesn't seem to help, and at times it's not even there.

I'm not sure on CentOS, but probably something like dhclient -r eth0 where eth0 is whatever your NIC actually is there.
