Unfortunately, one of the devices died and had to be replaced. We do not have a recent configuration backup for that machine.

I was wondering what would be the easiest way to get that device back into production. I did look at the documentation and also searched the forum but I didn't have much success.

Any kind of help would be appreciated

Configure the Advanced settings.
Add the sync user and set the correct password, or if you use admin for syncing set the same password for the admin account.

If you're replacing the backup node, connect the device to your network and configure the HA-settings.

If you're replacing the master, reconfigure the second node to be the new master:
in Firewall > Virtual IPs set the skews of all CARP VIPs to 0
Connect the new device to your network and configure the HA-settings for the backup system.
On the master go to System > High Availability Sync and configure the synchronisation settings so that the configuration is synced to the new node.
