Passing an IP out of a different port.

Hello All,
Y'all are always so helpful. I am trying to get close to a final setup on my PFSense system. I am running on on a
Dell R300. My plan is as follows:Internet services in on bge0 (spectrum) and bge1 (frontier) then we have an installed dual port 10Gb SFP card that will have one port out to my 2960X switch and the 2nd port will be going off to my ESXi server. I am trying to figure out the config for the 2nd port on my 10Gb card to get the connection to the ESXi server. IP scheme is 10.0.1.x. Server is 10.0.1.5 of course router is 10.0.1.1.
If someone can point me in a general direction I can normally fumble through the rest.

All kidding aside.. Does this interface have to be in the same subnet of that server or can you just build a new LAN subnet and reach it via its address?

Not sure what config you mean. It's pretty basic. By default, you have one vswitch that is both the management network as well as the default vswitch for your VMs to connect to LAN. Was there something else you needed to be able to do?

@KOM I am trying to figure out if I am able to make my 2nd SFP+ port on my NIC able to hand out an address to my server that is hanging off of said port. I want to keep my server in the same network range as the rest of my network that is off the 1st port from that card.

I'm assuming that this second 10G port is just another pfSense interface? Your Dell R300 has 4 NICs: 2 WANS and 2 LANs? Go to Services - DHCP Server. Click the tab for the interface you're working with and enable the DHCP server. Specify a pool range, configure Servers & Other Options and away you go.
