  • Hi everyone,
    I have 2 problem and i don't know what should i do?

    1. Currently, i using 1 WAN and my boss want to me setup one more WAN on PfSense. My boss want to merge 2 WAN to 1.
Example: WAN 1 and WAN 2 is 40mb, after i merge 2 WAN is 80mb.
    2. Currently i having 1 rule access to internet (WAN 1), if i setup WAN 2 i will create one more 1 rule. I want to use 1 rule access to internet, when WAN 1 die, traffic auto convert to WAN 2.

  • There are a few ways this can be done.

What kind of internet connection are you using?

  • Rebel Alliance

    My company using FTTH

  • True "Bonding" gets you just one IP address from the two connections. Thus most of the bandwidth by the two connections combined for one file download. Are your connections PPPoe by chance? Then look up MLPPP. Pfsense can do MLPPP. If your on fiber though Id be looking for an upgrade in service first.

Other methods for bonding do exist. They require equipment and cooperation by the other end of your connections whether by your ISP or by a man in the middle company.

Otherwise if you are just looking for failover and loadbalancing then the link provided by ptt above will do ya!
