<![CDATA[ntopng turn off STARTTLS for sending email]]>Hello,

ntopng fails to send email reports to my smtp server. I checked the debug log on my email server and it's failing at the STARTTLS command. I need to turn off STARTTLS in ntopng so that it can send emails to my smtp server. Don't see any place in the configuration GUI to do this.

Just installed ntopng and it look to me that it handles its own mail sending - mails are not handled by pfSense's mail facilities.
I couldn't make it to send neither, as it even doesn't allow to login as my mail server doesn't allow non-authenticated mail sending.

From what I make of it, ntopng is not 'standard' package, it's more a stand alone program wrapped up to integrate with the pfSense GUI. It even uses it's own web server.
Also : it's lua ..... ☺

Anyway, these are my observations. Consider asking the question at the source, there where ntopng is developed ...

I already have pfsense notifications working.
