Having issues with VPN tunnels and pfSense not being able to re-establish the tunnel and having to manually delete the SAD entries for the tunnel in order to get it to re-establish connectivity.

      Thanks

If you configure DPD appropriately. There was never a problem with it, it just wasn't supported. It is in 1.2.3.

Is this done via the GUI or in the vpn.inc file?

          Thanks

Look for DPD Interval in the GUI.  I pulled this from a 1.2.3-RC1 install.

Dead Peer Detection interval in seconds.
Leave this empty to only respond to DPD requests and not send any requests.
