Need OpenVPN on a pfSense behind NAT Router
-
Hi all,
I need a help in configuring OpenVPN in pfsense behind a NAT device.
The network is as below.
ISP ---- Load Balance Router ----- pfSense (HA) ---- LAN
WAN IP of pfSense is in 10.10.10.0/28 range and in HA.
I also have port forwarded UDP 1194 in router to WAN VIP of pfSense. But, I'm unable to connect via OpenVPN.
Please help
Thanks,
Sakthi -
Make sure you have unchecked Block private networks and loopback addresses in Interfaces > WAN

If your double NAT'd you'll have to open the OVPN port on your Load Balance Router - Just an uneducated guess.

@Rico This is done, without this pfSense didn't allow internet connectivity.
@randombits pfSense isn't doing NAT, sorry I didn't mentioned this.

@sianand said in Need OpenVPN on a pfSense behind NAT Router:
pfSense isn't doing NAT
That's probably a dont care.
The destination isn't NATted by pfSense, because the end destination is pfSense itself.
A
on your WAN interface will do (if you use UDP on port 1193 - this rule will be created by the OpenVPN wizard if you used that wizard). The upstream router - if any - has to have a 'real' NAT rule of course.
