OpenVPN Version 2.4.4 - Can't install Windows exported client
-
I recently updated PFsense to version 2.4.4 and the exported client will not install on Windows 10 machine. I tried to install the client on a 2 computers as a "fresh install" (computers never had openVPN installed previously)

Can you specify "Cant't install"? What is the Error? Have you tried with https://swupdate.openvpn.org/community/releases/openvpn-install-2.4.8-I602-Win10.exe ?
We installed ~50 Win10 1909 x64 Laptops today with the latest Windows Patches and OpenVPN 2.4.8. But with the original Installer and pfSense "Inline Configuration (Most Clients)" copied to 'C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config'-Rico

I apologize that I was not more specific, I updated PFsense to the latest version 2.4.4 and when I export the openVPN client (for Windows 10 Pro 1909) from PFsense it is an unrecognizable file type, it appears to be an incomplete file. I downloaded both the 64 and 32 bit versions with the same result.
I did download the latest version from OpenVPN and successfully installed using the exported configuration file from PFsense.

You have the latest client export package 1.4.20 installed?
Tried another browser?-Rico

The issue was the client export package needed to be updated as well, I performed the update and now the exported openvpn application worked as expected, Thank you for your help!

Glad you have it working now.
