System on later version than official release but pkg upgrade pfSense-upgrade checks out ok
-
So i have 2.4.5-RELEASE installed however on my dashboard it shows:-
Version 2.4.5-RELEASE (amd64) built on Tue Mar 24 15:25:50 EDT 2020 FreeBSD 11.3-STABLE The system is on a later version than official release.
I found a few posts about this including this bug report - https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/7343 that states to:-
Run pkg upgrade pfSense-upgrade from shell.
So i did that and....
[2.4.5-RELEASE][admin@pfsense.xxxx.co.uk]/root: pkg upgrade pfSense-upgrade Updating pfSense-core repository catalogue... pfSense-core repository is up to date. Updating pfSense repository catalogue... pfSense repository is up to date. All repositories are up to date. Checking integrity... done (0 conflicting) Your packages are up to date.
Yet the dashboard still shows the "The system is on a later version than official release. "
Anyone any ideas?

That is odd... Your built time is different than mine.
2.4.5-RELEASE (amd64) built on Tue Mar 24 15:25:53 EDT 2020 FreeBSD 11.3-STABLE The system is on the latest version. Version information updated at Wed May 20 4:58:31 CDT 2020
Why does your show :50 while mine show :53, maybe because I'm on netgate hardware and not the CE build?
What does your update setting show.. you set for 2.4.x or 2.4.4

Weird,
My system update was set to Previous Stable Version - I don't recall setting it to that otherwise how was i offered 2.4.5?Either way - i've changed it to Latest Stable version and its now ok on the Dashboard.
Many Thanks for the pointer in the right direction.
