I recently migrated from DD-WRT to pfSense and installed most popular packages with success but I must say that setting traffic shaping is quite a challenge for a noob in this matter.

I have a Videotron cable 100/30 connection which has very bad bufferbloat behavior w/o any QoS setup.

I have done those exact settings:0ecc8fdf-39c3-418b-94a9-fb8b14cacdcb-image.png

that solved the bufferbloat problems but sends a continuous error message in the console; 69c35066-a882-437f-87e6-1e8c287296f8-image.png

And I still have some problems with my generic (VoIP.ms) that I would like to solve before the wife decides to cancel the service 😧 :-)

      I have read this: 23a1b789-085b-441a-9e2a-136b416148ef-image.png

      And browsed this: 9ac385b1-59a6-4cba-bef9-88a156ec9b29-image.png

But honestly, I just don't know how to reconcile all those sources in something functional.

What I want to achieve with my cable 100/30 connection is:

      • low bufferbloat
      • LAN VoIP
      • LAN devices (2 PC, 2 Android TV box)
      • WLAN devices (2 iPads, 2 cell phones with WiFi calling)
      • 1 gaming teenager
      • MS Teams meetings
      • 1 streaming Android box

Can anyone help me finding my way ?

@daddygo I tried the Wizard. Seems to be working. But still, if anyone has any input.

Hi @NinthWave - have you tried the exact steps detailed in this post?

            https://forum.netgate.com/topic/112527/playing-with-fq_codel-in-2-4/815

If yes, are you still seeing issues?

            Hope this helps.

I tried it yesterday but now, my upload vanishes to zero and dslreports stops.

I posted as a reply on the "playing with FQ-Codel" thread.

I’m having exactly the same upload issues. I also reported them on that thread. https://forum.netgate.com/topic/112527/playing-with-fq_codel-in-2-4/1045

I temporarily fixed that by multiplying the upload bandwidth parameter by 10.

Thanks for quoting me. Since my problem could not be resolved, I reverted back to using the wizard.

I will closely look at your thread to see if it finds any resolution.
