    Meaning of "auth is used inconsistently" message

      Whenever a client (any client) connects using OpenVPN I see this message in the OpenVPN logs and I'm not sure what it means...maybe I have something not configured correctly on the server side:

      "WARNING: 'auth' is used inconsistently, local='auth [null-digest]', remote='auth SHA256' "

      The connection is fine but any ideas what I need to change?

        This is most likely due to NCP, I guess you have it enabled.
        You can ignore the warning.
