Can HP Thin Client be used as Access Point (WIFI)
Trying to set up protected WIFI for a family member with a HP Thin Client T520 or T620.
The NetGate Documentation says that a wireless access card which supports hostap mode.
How hard will it be to find a guaranteed working wlan card? Thanks in advance!
pfSense as an Access Point
With a wireless card that supports hostap mode (See Cards Supporting Access Point (hostap) Mode), pfSense software can be configured as a wireless access point.

My understanding is that support for WiFi is poor and only up to 802.11n. You'd likely be better off with a proper access point.

@mh4it A better deal would be to use that HP for pfSense with IDS/IPS, pfBlockerNG and get the Mikrotik HapAC wireless access point (Approx $49 plus taxes on eBay) connected to pfSense ... that's two robust setups to secure your family network.

Thanks for the advice, What is the benefit of Mikrotik Hap AC over OpenWRT??
Don't know however, I made the suggestion knowing you want a robust secure WIFI and RouterOS would provide that.
