Setup a LAGG from the command line?
I'm in the process of deploying pfSense CE at work to be a proxy server. Don't want to but a customer requirement is that we have one so here I am. I will be deploying a physical box for this because I have spares. It will have dual gigabit NICs and dual 10 gigabit NICs in it. I want to put the 10 gigabit NICs in a LAGG and use them for the "WAN" interface, although it will only have one usable interface (i.e. not a firewall, just an AD authenticated proxy). Is it possible to create this on the CLI before I assign interfaces during the initial setup? I've looked, but my Google-fu is not good right now so I'm not finding a yes or no answer to this.
Not easily. Not via the normal interfaces assign dialogue certainly.
I would probably generate a basic config file and import it for this. Or just assign one of the 1G NICs as WAN initially so you can access it and create the LAGG in the GUI vefore deploying it.
