Two wifi on one service

I have Japan PPPoE service. From modem to #1 port tp108, #3 port to pfsense with old router in AP mode (Japan wifi good), #5 port to vpn router (expressvpn and USA wifi good). Can I remove tp108 and connect vpn wifi to pfsense?

Probably.
Where is the PPPoE client? In pfSense?
If you have enough interfaces in pfSense you can put the VPN router on a separate interface there. It's generally better to do that if you have any traffic to/from that device and the local LAN as it avoids asymmetric routing.

I built pfsense box with new b450 MB with 16GB. Before tp108, modem went to wan on pfsense box and lan went to gs716v3 switch that has pcs and r7900p router in AP mode, worked good but no USA wifi, only Japan wifi. Installed expressvpn on pfsense 4.5.2 but was not happy with operation. pfsense box has dual intel nic card as add in and realtec, with driver upgraded to work with pfsense. Tried to configure realtec as DMZ but lack of knowhow was not able. Wan is pppoe (igb0) v4-126.82.162.229/32, lan (igb1) is v4-192.168.20.1/24 and I tried dmz (opt1/re0) as v4-192.168.132.1/24. Vpn router is a wrt3200acm with expressvpn firmware. pfsense is basic install with pfblockerng-devel installed. I know that using tp108 is not a good/correct way to use two wifi routers but was only way I could get both Japan and USA wifi.
Thank you for saying there is a better/correct way to do this. elmo -
If you have the VPN router connected to the pfSense WAN side how is that getting internet access? Running a separate PPPoE session with it's own public IP?
-
@stephenw10 Yes. When I first started I would move the modem cable from pfsense wan to vpn router wan port. USA wifi was good but no Japan wifi. Had to change connections on pc for internet usage. Both pfsense and vpn router have PPPoE connection ability. vpn router runs expressvpn firmware and connects to what ever server it needs. If I need USA connection for pc I still need to change to vpn router wifi. I normally have pc connecter to switch on pfsense lan, it is a little faster. I should have stated this up front. elmo

Ok but do you have both routers connected via PPPoE at the same time?
Most ISPs do not allow that but some do.
Anyway I'm sure you could do something better there. Just moving the VPN router behind pfSense and setting it to use DHCP instead or PPPopE should work fine. It can establish the VPN through pfSense no problem.
