Hardware Upgrade Advice

Ok first a little back story here...
First purchased a pair of SG-8860's in HA config, all worked well until the upgrade to 2.4.4 release p2. Upgraded the primary and it bricked. Upgraded the secondary and it's been running as the primary since then. Netgate replaced the original primary but once I restored the old primary, I could never get it back into HA mode as primary or secondary and because of my limited chances to work on this, I've just left it as-is figuring one day I'd get back to it or worst case, take the current "primary config" and drop it on the cold spare.
Fast forward a couple years later and thankfully the "new primary" has not yet failed. I just purchased a pair of SG-5100's as it's about that time to upgrade to new boxes. My question is, should I start with an all new config on these new boxes or can I simply just take my old "working" primary config, dump it on both new boxes and just modify each to make one primary and one secondary?
