<![CDATA[Atheros 9227 NIC stops responding]]>fellow engineers.

Have a good day, I have a question.

I have noticed that my Pfsense version 2.6.0 OPT interface seems to go into lockup after about 6 hours. I have deactivated and activated OPT WIFI and the interface was restored and I was able to navigate through Wifi.

My question is: Is there a way to program the interface to restart every so often?... or some other alternative to get out of this problem

This is mainly to poor support by the underlying os and also limited need/demand for such feature.

It could be any number of things.

It's almost always better to use an external access point for reasons including those.

But in the wired LAN network, everything is excellent.
I have my router provided by my provider ISP converted to a bridge, and my Pfsense WAN interface to DHCP.

What could be the reason for this slow and very unstable network on the part of WIFI OPT?

Check the system and wireless logs when it stops responding.
