I created a new vlan and the computer in that vlan subnet can access the internet and ping the pfsense gateway. Could anyone please help me understand why in the interface diagnostics, I cannot ping that computer? When I move the same computer to my normal LAN interface I have no problem pigging it so that suggest it not the windows firewall blocking it.

Could anyone please assist me in understanding the reason why?

Thank you all in advance

The vlan was created using my lan parent interface. I have everything working on the computer. I just don't see why the firewall cannot ping it.

Even with the default source?
If so there must be something wrong in your setup.

How did you create the vLAN? Is the computer connected to a switch, where setup the vLAN?
