        @dan-4

        can your pfSense access DNS 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4 ?
        What happens when you execute

        /usr/bin/host -W 1 8.8.8.8

        on the console of pfSense ?

        Btw : I can't understand : even when your pfSense can access these 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4, why would they be sued, as they know nothing about your local DHCP leases and host names in them .....

        I mean :

        dig @8.8.8.8 pfsense.local.home

        will fail.
