<p dir="auto">i have 2.6.0 installed and i keep reading that 2.7.0 is avalible, but how do i install it ?<br />
if i do a search on the dashboard it still says that 2.6.0 is the latest stable version.</p>

<li>Do a Backup first</li>
<li>Do a config backup second</li>
<li>Organize a Console cable if not present (serial)</li>
<li>Organize a USB stick ready for installation</li>
<li>Organize 2.7 Devel and 2.6 image from pfSense<br />
server to be sure to reinstall from scratch<br />
if it is really needed.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>choose the right branch for 2.7 Devel (top)</li>
<li>check "create a boot environment" (below)</li>
<li>click on save (bottom)</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>have a look now if it is showing you the<br />
upgrade option on that page.</li>
</ul>

<p dir="auto">You will have to change <strong>System / Update / System Update</strong> to Branch: <strong>Latest development snapshots (Experimental 2.7.x DEVEL)</strong> in order to see/load 2.7.0 development version of pfSense.</p>
