Alix2d3 + usb adsl modem
-
Hi people,
My question is unusual let say…
i have at home internet provided by a company that uses ADSL modems.http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=665
my small topology is like this:
adsl cable (RJ11) -> speedtouch 330 modem -> USB to PC.My question is : It's some posibility to connect the modem(via USB) or direct the RJ-11 cable to ALIX2d3+mini-pci wifi motherboard and route this connection.
Thank you in advance.

By far the easiest way to connect your ADSL would surely be an ADSL router, which would give you an ethernet connection
Ebuyer for instance has several wired routers for around £30 wireless from about £40

I'm not aware of any software support in FreeBSD (and hence pfSense) for USB ADSL modems. As martinw suggested, if you want to use pfSense you should be looking at ADSL modems with an ethernet connection.
