<![CDATA[dup on ping to external ip in carp setup]]>Hi I have two pfsense in carp . my client is using the carp vip for lan as its default gateway. when i ping external ip and if both lan interfaces of my pfsense are up i get a dup in ping .. i am trying to ping any outside ip usng tinylinux on lan segment. is it norrmal for carp setup ? the enviroment is a a test environment for a live setup and i am using advance outbound nat and nating to carp ip for this lan segment.

i do not get dup if i shut one of the lan interface. i am not sure why is it happening.

both vms of pfsnse are in virtual box with promiscious mode on.

You’re NATting to the shared LAN IP? What is that for?
