Would anyone be able to tell me if there is a way to implement Network Information Services on pfSense?

I have some experience with NIS on Linux, based on that I poked around a bit using the shell interface of pfSense. I found some indication of it's existance but scattered.

I have also googled to no avail. I would think that it is possible if one would undertand how FreeBSD implemts it. I have looked at that as well but the information I've found does not match a whole lot of what exists within pfSense, i.e. I did not find 'ypbind' anywhere. I'm not surprised, really. I just wondered if anyhow would know how. Thank you.

Regards,
