Squid guard problem
-
i have Squid and SquidGuard on pfsense 1.2.3 RC3. Content Filtering and Logging works perfect until reboot. After reboot , although the services seem running, users bypass squid in transparent proxy mode and squidguard, so there is no log. When I start the services manually, system works normally. How can I solve this issue?

What other packages do you have installed?
I seem to recall someone having this issue a few months ago with snort and squid both installed, but after updating snort and the other packages, it seemed to work again.

i didn't install other packages. i have only squid and squidguard
(It seems to work but does not work! I pressure save çalışıor. it starts to work)

The problem (in my humble opinion) is not with Squid Guard but, rather, Squid itself. With the latest Squid "update," I, too, have had to manually start Squid (and HAVP for that matter) upon reboot. This has been a recurring problem that I've had since I started using Squid and I don't understand why this continues to dog us. The penultimate update worked great; after numerous updates before that, someone finally got it right and I was thrilled. Unfortunately, my euphoria didn't last long…the last update got it all goofed up and we're back to the same old problem.
Look...I understand people are working on this for free and we all appreciate it. But can someone test Squid to make sure it runs before releasing updates?

Sorry for all, but in my opinion….
The developers work hard for this project and you´re right when we appreciate, but we not help it many times.
Today i bought pfsense book = )!
But remember, this version is RC, still testing, look the topic too (1.2.3 PRERELEASING TESTING), so for my opinion, already exist people that are testing packages, but if possible look the right side on package (test or beta) =).
But neatly will be Great if some users candidate to test some packages, I´ll be one!.
It is a suggestion.
