this weekend i plan to install Pfsense community on a AMD G-Series SOC Appliance.

i have Alias and static mappings and wireguard tunnels, i am creating on a netgate 3100 with the latest firmwares applied as of last night. my plan is to wipe the AMD G appliance early Saturday morning. then restore the configuration to the "newer" appliance

talking about moving from an arm processor to a Amd chip/ processor.

any tips or guidance on making this any easier?

If you are not using any VLANs or separate switch ports on the 3100 then you should be able to just import the config and reassign the interfaces.

I will say the 3100 will still support 25.11 when it's released.

          ah just one IOT vlan.

Yes it should be. If you do have that VLAN though you probably have at least 4 interfaces on the 3100. If the new box doesn't have 4 NICs then you will have an issue assigning them. In that case it can be easier to manually edit the config before restring it to match the new interface names.
