      Hello everyone,

I recently set up my home network using pfSense on a Netgate appliance, and I’m really enjoying how flexible and powerful it is. I’m connecting devices through a WiFi bridge, and one of my main devices is an ai powered laptop that I use for development and machine learning projects.

I’m looking for tips to make the most of my setup specifically ways to optimize firewall rules, NAT, and QoS so that my AI projects run smoothly without any interruptions. I’d also love advice on monitoring traffic efficiently and ensuring that my VPN connections stay fast and stable.

Any suggestions, recommended packages, or best practices that have worked well for others with similar setups would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for sharing your insights!

Don't use WiFi would be my first recommendation. 😉

But what sort of traffic are you looking to optimise? Optimise for throughput? Latency?
