      Hello,

I think I've found a small bug with the "Wake-on-Lan" display on the main Dashboard page.

The “Wake-on-Lan” status does not turn “green,” but if I unplug the network cable and plug it back in, it works, but does not remain green after a while.

This problem did not occur with version “25.07.1.”

Have you noticed the same thing?

I started with two "no-name" pfsense, one for use at home and the other as a backup in case of problems (which can happen when you're new to pfsense).

... And sorry for my bad English...

The device should show as active there if it's in the pfSense ARP table. So if the device does not send any traffic to pfSense it will time out after ~15mins. That hasn't changed.

Are you seeing devices in the ARP table that are not shown as active there?

If it's important, you can force the device to be "up" for WoL by enabling the Static ARP Entry setting in the DHCP mapping.

Thank you for your messages. Today I went to Pfsense and the arrow is indeed “green.”

I've been watching this little arrow ever since I put this information on the home page. It's true that every time I looked at it, it was “green,” but it's also true that I don't connect to my firewall all the time.

It's just that when I was connected to Pfsense, I saw this “red” arrow while I was on this computer (my only one), and I found it surprising, so I removed the network cable and put it back in, and the arrow turned “green.”

I think that's what you explained to me about the “15 minutes.”

            Sorry for my false announcement
